Year-end forms

The forms that follow the pay stubs

Employee and recipient copies of the US and Canadian year-end forms, filled in from the same figures as the stubs. Free watermarked preview; $4.99 per form or included with a subscription.

For a US employer that means the Form W-2 for each employee and the 1099-NEC for each contractor paid for services. For a Canadian employer it is the T4 slip for employees and the T4A for contractors and other payees. Each generator takes one person at a time, for tax year 2025 or 2026, and produces the copies you hand out; the copy filed with the SSA, IRS or CRA stays with you. A Quebec employee's RL-1 comes from Revenu Québec's form or your payroll software; the T4 page shows the figures it shares with the T4.

Three steps, same as a stub

  1. Enter the year's figures

Pull the totals from your payroll records or the December pay stub. Subscribers get them from the dashboard's year-end summaries, one row per employee.

  2. Preview the copies

The watermarked PDF shows every box, with the calculated ones filled in and the ceilings and mandatory boxes checked. Fix anything before paying.

  3. Download and file

Pay $4.99 for the clean PDF, or download it free on a subscription. Give the copies to the employee or payee, then file the government copy with the SSA, IRS or CRA.

Year-end summaries, then the form

Every stub generated during the year is grouped by employee and summed in the dashboard: gross, federal and state or provincial tax, Social Security and Medicare or CPP and EI. From each row, open the W-2, 1099-NEC or T4 with the year's totals and the employee's details already in the boxes. Included with the monthly and annual plans, along with the forms themselves.

Questions

Are these official forms?
The W-2, 1099, T4 and T4A employee and recipient copies are substitutes in the format the IRS (Publication 1141 and the 1099 general instructions) and the CRA allow: the same boxes and the same instructions, on plain paper. The copy filed with the government is not included; the W-2's Copy A goes to the SSA through Business Services Online, 1099 Copy A to the IRS through IRIS, and T4 and T4A slips to the CRA with their summaries through Web Forms. A Quebec employee's RL-1 is not generated here: Revenu Québec only accepts software-printed RL-1s that carry its authorization number, so issue it through Revenu Québec's fillable RL-1 or your payroll software, using the Quebec figures the T4 page shows.
How much do the forms cost?
$4.99 per form for one employee or payee, whichever form it is. Monthly ($14.99) and annual ($149.99) subscriptions include unlimited forms alongside unlimited pay stubs. Prices and charges are in US dollars.
Which tax years are supported?
2025 and 2026. Each year's form has its own boxes, thresholds and ceilings: the 2026 W-2 and 1099-NEC carry the new tips and overtime boxes and the $2,000 1099 threshold, and the 2026 T4 uses the $74,600 YMPE, $85,000 YAMPE and $68,900 EI maximum.
What are year-end summaries?
A subscriber feature in the dashboard: every pay stub generated during a year, grouped by employee and summed, so the totals a W-2, 1099-NEC or T4 asks for are one click from the form with the boxes already filled in.
